Summer Arts Camps are a time for youth to use their imaginations. Kids will have the time of their lives creating and imagining alongside artists. Each week brings a different artist with new themes and projects. Children learn how to develop an artwork based upon everyday experiences using the basic elements of art, while integrating all kinds of ideas. No art experience is needed. Days are full of fun!
Tuition for each week-long camp is $140 for non-members and $120 for members. A minimum membership level of $50 allows your child to receive discounted member rates. Memberships are good for one year from date of purchase. Students ages 13 and older participating in the Print making camp have the option for to stay in residence halls. “Printing” will cost $140/120 for commuters (those who are not staying in residence halls) or $300 total for those staying in halls with a 3 meal plan. Existing or new members can register on Tuesday, April 6th and Wednesday, April 7th between 10:00 and 3:00. Registration tables will be set up at the Museum or call with your credit card. General registration for all others will begin on April 8th and continue until all camps are full. No places will be held without payment.
Summer Arts Day Camp offers a special camp July 12-16 for students ages 13-18. These older students will have the opportunity to work with the Professor of Printmaking at the University of North Dakota Art Department, Kim Fink. In this camp, students will learn several printing skills using hand techniques and presses to make multiple copies of their work. This camp offers an option for campers who travel a distance to stay in UND residence halls.
