Alex Engelstad, Josh Abrahamson were double winners at the Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minnesota Friday night. Alex Engelstad led from start to finish in his heat. In the Feature, Engelstad started in row four and made his way through traffic to contend with race leader Bryan Dyrdahl of Bagley. Dustin Strand drove his way into second place before ayellow caution moved him to the back. The caution came with five laps to go, Engelstad would pass Dyrdahl on the third corner after the restart and race to the victory. Josh Abrahamson of Moorhead also led start to finish in his heat and then drove a steady race in the feature to claim another victory at NCR. Abrahamson started in the third row and raced to the front on the opening lap. With six yellow caution flags, Abrahamson was challenged by Rob VanMill but didn't give up the lead.
In the Four Cylinder feature, Bryce Mueller's #11 car caught on fire with the driver safely escaping. Chris Geray came back to win the feature this week after a roll over and landing on the top of the guard rail last week, the driver from Mahnomen took the lead after a yellow caution and three laps remaining.
Christopher Christian of Fertile drove his 33C in the lead for the first 12 laps in the Midwest Mod Feature and watched points leader at NCR Austin Arneson make the pass with three laps left to another feature win for Arneson. Christian would finish second for his best finish this season. Tim Shiek of Moorhead took the lead in the Purestock Special with nine laps left and won the feature.

It was a wild night of racing at the Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minnesota Friday night. A roll over on the nights very first lap, a roll over in the nights final feature, and, several "busted" cars during the night of racing on a tacky track. Four Cylinder driver Chris Geray of Mahnomen was racing his car at the front of the nights first heat race when he lost control coming out of the fourth corner, rolled and landed on all four wheels on TOP of the concrete barrier and steel guard rail. As the car sat perfectly-- Geray unbuckled and crawled out of the vehicle saying i'm ok! In the Modified Feature, Dave Cain also rolled as part of a four car mess on the third and fourth corners. Cain would drive his car back to the pits with 12 laps remaining. During the Midwest Mod Feature, Austin Arneson was driving the #10 car to a big lead, as he approached slower traffic with five laps remaining, Arneson was the unfortunate driver--- as a slower moving car moved up the track ( again on turns 3 & 4), Arneson could only watch the smoke and steam blow out of his engine and his night would be done. Ironically,,, on the same lap as we watched Arneson get out to look at his car under caution, the second place car, Z17 of Zachary Nastad also pulled to the infield with car troubles and his night would be done. This opened the door for #22 Levi Arneson of Fargo to become the new leader. LEvi Arneson took advantage of the "unfortunate situation " for his brother and raced to his first ever feature win! In the PureStocks--- Ken Crane messed up his "A-Frame" to win a heat and couldn't come back for the feature. Crane was in a close race with Andy Spud Wagner during the first heat race, as the two were approaching the finish line, the two drivers were watching the Dean Lundon car , ( Lundon had spun out in turn two - returned to the track - so - there was no yellow caution --- now -- almost a lap behind the leaders) Crane was racing the top line and tried to squeeze through by the guard rail, bumped into Lundon's #28 as Wagner drove cleanly through on the inside lane. Crane won the heat, and ended his night. Wagner of Ada, was in another close feature race with Tim Shiek of Moorhead (#31X) as the two raced side by side for 12 of the 15 laps and the slim advantage to Wagner. Shiek took the "slim" lead with four laps to go. On the final lap, Wagner pulled even and in the last 25 feet was able to edge ahead of Shiek to win the feature by a bumper length to the excitement of the crowd. Stacy Pederson Roy returned to the feature winner square for a fourth time in the Four Cylinder Feature after narrowly missing the heat win.
